This high level practical qualification with external accreditation will meet industry’s need for sector specific qualifications.

It is the benchmark for all management to achieve to achieve from food business owners to trainers, from production managers to hygiene auditors.

The course is available in manufacturing, catering and retail specific elements and the certificate issued will depend on the qualification chosen.

Target Audience

Owners and managers in any sized organisations, depending on the type of food business. It is also an appropriate technical qualification for those wishing to apply to deliver level 1 training. Attendees must have completed the Level 2 Award in Food Safety within the last 3 years and ideally Level 3 supervising food safety.

Course Duration

Five-day programme

Assessments

This qualification is assessed by a 2-part examination:

Part one is a 30-question multiple-choice examination

Part two is a written examination where learners choose 4 from 6 questions. The total mark available in this section is 70 marks

Successful learners must achieve a total of at least 60 marks out of 100 across the two parts of the exam. A Merit will be awarded at 70/100 and a Distinction will be awarded at 80/100.

The duration of the examination is 2 ½ hours.

Certification

Certificate will be issued on successful completion of the course, assignment and exam
